报告题目:Additive manufacturing innovations and opportunities

报告摘要:

Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, has introduced a novel production method in design, manufacturing, and distribution to end-users. This technology has provided great freedom in design for creating complex components, highly customizable products, and efficient waste minimization. Although AM processes are being used in industries, their full capacity is not well exploited yet. This presentation will provide a comprehensive understanding of AM technology and present the latest achievements and industrial applications. The speaker will talk about the importance and implications of AM, overview of various AM processes, and problems and opportunities in metal AM. Research and new applications of metal AM will also be discussed.

报告人简介:

Zhichao Liu, Ph.D., is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Dr. Liu’s research focuses on Additive Manufacturing (Directed energy deposition, Hybrid manufacturing), Smart Manufacturing (Machine learning, Industry IoT), and Sustainable Manufacturing (Life cycle assessment, TEA). He earned a Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial Engineering at Texas Tech University in August 2019, an M.S. from the Dalian University of Technology in 2013, and a B.S. from Qingdao Agricultural University in 2010. Dr. Liu received WVU IDEA Faculty Fellowship in 2022. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of the Green Manufacturing Open. Dr. Li has served as PI/Co PI on 3 federal grants (Total $6,760,933) mainly from NSF and DoE. Dr. Liu has published more than 60 academic works including journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters gathering over 1500 citations. He is a member of ASME, ASEE, and IISE.

报告题目: 送粉式激光熔化沉积过程监测

报告摘要:

如何提升激光增材制造的质量可靠性是工业及学术界面临的一项难题。送粉式激光熔化沉积技术具有高能量输入、长周期循环、强热累积等加工特性,加工过程中的微小误差,均有可能在后续的循环累积下产生严重缺陷,进而导致加工失败。因此,如能在长周期激光熔化沉积过程中实现加工质量的原位监测及反馈调控,则对该技术质量提升具有十分重要的意义。本报告主要将汇报送粉式激光熔化沉积过程监测的研究现状,以及研究团队围绕激光加工熔池动态特征演化机理、冶金动力学机制、工艺-熔池-质量间全过程演变规律的最新进展。

报告人简介:

唐梓珏,男,2020年于大连理工大学获得博士学位,自2021年1月起进入上海交通大学工作。主要聚焦于新型激光、智能增材制造、铝基复合材料间的交叉融合研究,先后主持国自然科学基金青年项目、博士后科学基金面上、博士后科学基金特别资助、中国科学院上海高等研究院普通课题等项目,参与国家重点研发计划等国家、省、市级纵向项目以及横向委托项目10余项,入选上海市“超级博士后”激励计划,获得上海市“互联网+”创新创业大赛铜奖。近年来,在激光增材制造领域相关期刊《Virtual and Physical Prototyping》、《Journal of Materials Processing Technology》、《Journal of Alloys and Compounds》、《机械工程学报》等发表论文20多篇,总被引量500余次,并担任Journal of Materials Processing Technology、Materials & Design、Journal of Manufacturing Processes等期刊审稿人。围绕送粉激光熔化沉积智能监测与调控方向,目前已公开包括激光头状态监测、加工质量实时调控等方面相关发明专利10余项,获得授权6项。研究成果初步应用到了航发商发、成飞等企业中。
