报告摘要:
We develop an eigensoftening algorithm to capture the gradual process of failure in materials with a softening behavior as an extension of the eigenerosion approach. Both methods are validated against the physical measurements in three-point bending tests of concrete with a drop-weight device, including impact and reaction forces, loading-line displacements as well as strain histories from gauges. The comparison shows that the eigenerosion algorithm signicantly overestimates the tensile stresses
and the strain peaks, while it captures the forces and crack pattern accurately. Predictions made by the proposed eigensoftening algorithm agree very well with experimental results in all aspects. Second, it is applied to the dynamic mixed-mode fracture in fiber reinforced concrete. The results demonstrate that the eigensoftening algorithm is feasible for studying the dynamic fracture of FRC.
个人简介:
Dr. Rena C. , Bachelor from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) in 1994. Master (1997) and Ph.D. (2001) in Aeronautics from Caltech, USA.
In 2001, Dr. Yu joined the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain. Currently, Full Professor at the same university in Continuum Mechanics, with a research focus on computational fracture and fatigue damage in quasi-brittle materials, leveraging both finite element and meshfree methods.
Since 2016, Dr. Yu has been a member of fibWG2.4.2, concentrating on numerical modeling of fiber-reinforced concrete. Dr. Yu is an executive member of SEMNI (Spanish Society for Numerical Methods in Engineering), SEMTA (Spanish Society on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, where she is the vice-president since 2023). Member of the General Council for IACM (International Association for Computational Mechanics) since 2022, member of the Congress Committee for IUTAM since 2024. She also serves on the National Evaluation Committee (ANECA) for Professor Accreditations in Mechanics for the term 2024-2026.
