报告题目：There's nothing new under the sun: Knowledge discovery in cryptocurrency transactions

报告摘要：Cryptocurrencies, a class of anonymous payment medium, have reached a total market capitalization over 300 billion US dollars. The transactions of the cryptocurrencies are recorded transparently in public blockchains, faithfully encraving all user activities in the cryptocurrency economy. This talk first briefly reviews the current research on knowledge discovery from the transaction records, then introduces two on-going studies by the presenter: one regarding the most popular blockchain game CryptoKitties and another regarding the cryptocurrency primary market.

报告人简介：刘肖凡博士于2008年及2012年在香港理工大学电子及资讯工程学系分别获得理学士及博士学位，曾任英国帝国理工学院访问学者、东南大学计算机科学与工程学院副教授、博士生导师、计算机工程系主任，2019年起任香港城市大学媒体与传播系助理教授。刘肖凡博士现任中国计算机学会区块链技术专委会委员、指挥与控制学会网络科学与工程专委会委员、中国新闻史学会计算传播专业委员会理事。他的研究兴趣是使用网络科学和人工智能的方法分析虚拟电子货币经济和暗网中的人类活动。
