On the afternoon of May 20, the 42nd session of the activity series Youth Under the Party Flag was held in Lecture Hall 1 of the Sangpu Mountain Campus. Targeting undergraduate students of the College of Engineering, the event implements the mechanism of Party building leading League development. Through peer sharing exchanges, it helps students clarify personal development directions and make career plans.
The event invited eight 2026 graduates from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Civil and Smart Construction Engineering to share experience covering four paths: postgraduate recommendation, postgraduate entrance exam, civil service exam and direct employment.
Postgraduate Recommendation Track
Liu Haihang and Song Yatao recounted their preparation journeys for securing postgraduate offers from Southern University of Science and Technology and Jilin University respectively. They offered valuable advice for underclassmen on maintaining academic performance, participating in research projects and contacting supervisors.
Postgraduate Entrance Exam Track
Lu Ruijun and Su Zelei drew on their real experience of being admitted to South China University of Technology and China Agricultural University. They sorted out time allocation for Mathematics, English, Politics and specialized courses, and shared tips on schedule planning and psychological adjustment.
Civil Service Exam Track
Jiao Min started with position selection and analyzed features and competition intensity of various civil service posts. Chen Zhijian focused on review strategies for the Administrative Aptitude Test (AAT) and essay writing for civil service exams, stressing that both practice exercises and summary reviews are indispensable. Wang Wenjie combined real interview scenarios to remind participants to pay attention to logical expression and on-site demeanor.
Direct Employment Track
Wu Hongxuan shared his experience of signing with FPS Corporation, sorting out key procedures including internship accumulation, resume optimization and interview skills. He encouraged underclassmen to make early plans and embrace hands-on practice.
Centered on the theme of building dreams with craftsmanship, this session planted the seeds of down-to-earth perseverance and heritage succession in young students through authentic growth stories shared by senior peers.
