The 15th Training Course for Active Applicants for Party Membership (3rd Temporary Youth League Branch) of Shantou University continued to advance the Young Marxists Training Project. In late April, it held thematic discussions, organizational meetings, and special training courses to deepen active applicants’ understanding of the Party’s innovative theories, and effectively strengthen their sense of responsibility and service to the people.
On April 22, participants conducted group-based focused discussions, exchanging experiences and building consensus around thematic studies and film-viewing learning.
Combining their learning experiences and practical work, participants shared gains from thematic studies and discussed insights from watching films, further deepening their comprehension of the relevant content. The discussion consolidated learning outcomes, helped participants clarify practical paths, and effectively transformed theoretical learning into conscious action in fulfilling their duties.
From April 19 to 25, various Party branches held organizational meetings. Participants reported their original aspiration to join the Party, ideological understanding, and learning and work achievements to the Party organizations, took the initiative to identify shortcomings and clarify directions for improvement. This collective reporting further strengthened participants’ Party spirit cultivation and sense of responsibility, helped the Party organizations fully understand participants’ conditions, and laid a solid foundation for supporting their growth and progress.
On April 29, Li Yinhao, a counselor from the College of Engineering, delivered a special lecture entitled Basic Knowledge, History, Fine Traditions of the Party and the League, and Integrity Culture Education. Focusing on basic knowledge, development history, fine work styles and integrity culture of the Party and the League, he analyzed motivation for joining the Party, Party membership development procedures and disciplinary requirements with typical examples such as Li Dazhao and Huang Wenxiu. He guided participants to foster ideals and convictions, strictly abide by disciplinary bottom lines, and uphold the value pursuit of integrity and uprightness.
The second phase of the training course completed key tasks including thematic discussions, organizational meetings, and education on Party-League knowledge and integrity. It guided participants to share insights, examine shortcomings, and temper their Party spirit, promoted the transformation of learning outcomes into ideological consciousness and practical ability, consolidated theoretical foundations, and gathered striving strength.
