On the afternoon of April 1, the School of Engineering and Jingyi College held a special lecture on national security education entitled "Implementing the Overall National Security Vision and Building a Strong Security Line for the New Era" in the Multimedia Conference Room 114, Block 1, Phase II Campus.

The lecture was delivered by an expert from the Shantou National Security Bureau. Zhang Guihua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Engineering and Deputy Dean of Jingyi College, attended and delivered a speech.

Centering on the overall national security vision, the lecture profoundly expounded the great significance of national security as an important cornerstone of national stability and governance. It systematically interpreted the national security situation, core connotations, and relevant laws and regulations in the new era.

Combined with typical cases, the expert deeply analyzed potential security risks in high-frequency scenarios such as academic exchanges, online social interactions, job hunting and employment, and elaborated on key prevention points and countermeasures. Teachers and students were guided to strictly abide by confidentiality disciplines, strengthen their awareness of national security, and consciously resist all acts endangering national security. The expert also answered questions raised by teachers and students on site one by one in detail.

This activity consolidated the ideological defense line through professional interpretation and built an important platform for teachers and students to systematically learn national security knowledge. It effectively deepened college students’ ideological understanding and conscious action in safeguarding national security and keeping state secrets, and promoted the implementation and effectiveness of the overall national security vision on campus.
