"Intelligent Machinery" Creative Show Enters Tuodong Primary School: Faculty and Students Unlock the Mysteries of Science and Technology On-site!

Event Overview

In an era where mechanical technology is deeply integrated into production and daily life, enabling teenagers to get up close and personal with mechanical principles and fill the gap in the popularization of mechanical knowledge in traditional education is a pivotal practice for nurturing scientific and technological talents and igniting the spark of science.

On December 31, 2025, an immersive "Primary School Students' Science and Technology Achievement Exhibition" featuring five themed booths kicked off at Tuodong Primary School. Centered on the theme of "Intelligent Machinery", the exhibition showcased students' practical achievements in robot programming, mechanical structure design, automatic control and other fields, presenting a spectacular science and technology feast full of imagination and hands-on spirit.

Five Themed Booths · Decoding the Diverse Charms of the Mechanical World

Booth 1: Color Recognition Robot

Precise Interpretation of Intelligent Perception

As a typical example of the combination of machinery and intelligence, the color recognition robot booth focused on visual recognition technology.

The young student lecturers gave step-by-step demonstrations and explained the working mechanism of the robot's visual sensors. On-site, students placed objects in red, yellow, blue and other color systems with their own hands, assigned specific tasks to the robot, and witnessed the entire process of the robot quickly recognizing colors and completing operations with precision.

Booth 2: South-Pointing Chariot

Mechanical Wisdom Blending Ancient and Modern Eras

The south-pointing chariot booth, featuring traditional machinery at its core, served as a link connecting ancient and modern science and technology.

With the help of physical models, the young student lecturers reproduced the brilliant creation of ancient people who realized direction finding solely through mechanical principles without relying on modern navigation. Students turned the south-pointing chariot and observed its amazing feature of accurately pointing to the south even after being rotated in different directions, appreciating the exquisite design of traditional machinery through hands-on practice.

Booth 3: Intelligent Robot Dog

Fun Exploration of Bionic Machinery

The fun-filled intelligent robot dog booth became an unmissable highlight on-site.

The young student lecturers briefly explained the internal transmission devices, motors and programming principles of the intelligent robot dog, uncovering how machinery simulates the movement postures of living creatures. Students enthusiastically participated in the control experience, adjusting command parameters to make the intelligent robot dog complete a series of actions such as walking, turning and sitting, exploring the core mysteries of mobile machinery through interesting interactions.

Booth 4: Principles of Robotic Arm

Technical Presentation of Precise Control

Focusing on industrial application scenarios, the robotic arm principle booth demonstrated the practical value of intelligent machinery to the students.

The booth presented step-by-step demonstrations of the joint movements of the robotic arm and explained how to control it to complete complex operations such as grasping, moving and placing objects. Students placed objects of different shapes and sizes with their own hands, observing how the robotic arm quickly located targets, adjusted grasping angles and finished tasks with precision, and intuitively felt the high efficiency and accuracy of machinery in industrial production, logistics sorting and other fields.

Booth 5: Hydraulic Principles

A Scientific Miracle of Overcoming the Hard with the Soft

Centered on "power transmission", the hydraulic principle booth brought a wonderful scientific experience.

Through interesting experimental devices, the young student lecturers demonstrated the basic principle of hydraulic transmission: "realizing pressure transmission and amplification by utilizing the incompressibility of liquids". Students operated the hydraulic devices with their own hands, using the gentle force of pressing to lift, lower and move heavy objects, and personally experienced the scientific miracle of "moving a great force with a small one".

The "Mechanical Exploration, Intellectual and Fun Growth" intelligent manufacturing enlightenment program reflects the shift of science and technology education in primary schools from "passive learning" to "active creation". Many works integrate multidisciplinary knowledge such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
