Notice on the Application for the 2026 Summer Program at the University of British Columbia, Canada
The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a world-renowned public research university in Canada. Ranked 40th in the 2026 QS World University Rankings, it is one of Canada's top universities. UBC will hold a four-week summer program in 2026. The details are hereby notified as follows:
I. Program Information
Program Duration: July 17, 2026 – August 17, 2026
Program Offerings: The program offers students a choice of over 60 subject areas in fields such as Arts, Business, Education, Architecture, Statistics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Marine studies. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Learning and a transcript issued by UBC. Program Fee: 6,000 Canadian Dollars (CAD). The fee is paid directly by the student to UBC and includes the application fee, program courses, accommodation, some visits/field trips, and medical insurance. Other expenses such as round-trip airfare, meals, visa fees, and personal expenses are to be borne by the student. II. Eligibility Requirements
Currently enrolled first-year, second-year, third-year undergraduate students, and first-year or second-year master's students at Shantou University.
Applicants must love their motherland, have excellent academic and moral standing, and possess no disciplinary or other violation records.
Applicants must have a good command of the English language and be able to follow courses taught entirely in English.
Applicants must have sufficient financial means and obtain parental consent.
III. Application Procedure and On-Campus Application Method
Procedure: Student application → Faculty preliminary review → University review → Nomination → UBC review → Admission
Interested students are requested to complete the on-campus application before March 31 by logging onto the International Office website: https://icd.stu.edu.cn/studentVisitDetail.aspx?theNo=430. In the "Intended Major/Program of Study" section of the application form, please fill in the name of the course(s) you intend to take. After the university's review, nominated students will be submitted to UBC.

Note: UBC's summer program is offered in two sessions (June and July). As the June session conflicts with Shantou University's teaching and examination weeks, students interested in applying are advised to register for the July session. Additionally, applicants are reminded to prepare a valid passport in advance.
