Endless Youth, Run with Health and Vigor — The 4th Graduate Youth Joy Run of the College of Engineering Concludes Successfully

In active response to the national fitness initiative, the implementation of the healthy campus development and weight management special action plan, and the solid advancement of the "Green College" initiative, the College of Engineering has been guiding graduate students to step out of their laboratories, onto the track, and embrace sports. Recently, the 4th "Endless Youth, Run with Health and Vigor" Graduate Youth Joy Run, organized by the Youth League Committee of the College of Engineering and hosted by the Graduate Student Union of the College of Engineering, came to a successful conclusion.

This activity featured two challenge tracks: the Mileage Accumulation Group and the Weight Management Group. The closing ceremony also included a campus orienteering check-in activity, combining daily fitness routines with fun team-based events to effectively enrich the extracurricular lives of graduate students.

Dual-Track Parallel Operation, Independent Running — Unlocking a New Approach to Exercise

This Youth Joy Run was open to all graduate students, encouraging them to choose their own ways to exercise on campus during the activity period. The event broke free from the constraints of time and venue, adapting to the research rhythms of graduate students and making exercise a spontaneous daily routine rather than a rigid obligation.

Every run was recorded, and every persistence was seen. Participants used sports apps to accurately track their running data and preserve their exercise records. After the event, the staff compiled and calculated the running performance and weight management data of all participants based on their running logs and weight registration records. The open and transparent competition mechanism ignited the sports enthusiasm of all students in the college.

Team Competition and Orienteering — Unleashing New Campus Vitality

Running never stops, and the finale was spectacular! On May 31, the closing ceremony of the "Endless Youth, Run with Health and Vigor" Youth Joy Run, along with the College of Engineering campus orienteering activity, was successfully held, drawing a perfect conclusion to the more-than-ten-day running event. The activity adopted a fun team-based competition format with three-person teams, featuring no fixed routes and no rigid rules, allowing participants to explore campus corners while racing and unlock the joy of sports through fun challenges.

As the host announced the start of the event, all teams set off immediately, moving briskly and pushing forward with determination. They dashed through the buildings and pathways across campus, precisely locating checkpoints and efficiently collaborating to complete fun challenge tasks. The running figures, hearty laughter, and seamless teamwork intertwined to create the most vivid picture of youth. Everyone pushed their limits in the race and gathered strength through collaboration, fully demonstrating the unity, friendship, enterprising spirit, and vibrant energy of the students of the College of Engineering.
