The “Light Control the Future · Laser Gimbal” Electronic Design Competition, part of the 2026 “Eaton Cup” Science and Technology Innovation Festival, was held on the 1st floor of the Administrative Center at the Sangpu Mountain Campus.One first prize, one second prize, and two third prizes were awarded, fully demonstrating students’ innovative design and professional competence, and promoting the deep integration of theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The competition centered on the core technologies of laser gimbals and set four challenges, covering precise beam control, dynamic target tracking, anti-interference in complex environments, and intelligent multi-scenario adaptation.Seven teams participated, presenting works focused on key technologies of laser gimbals and integrating optics, electronics, and mechanical control.

During the evaluation, judges Lin Yiwen and Huang Shushan provided detailed comments on principle verification, parameter optimization, and practical feasibility, and held in-depth discussions with participants.The experience greatly improved students’ engineering thinking and application innovation capabilities in laser electronic systems.

This competition built an interdisciplinary platform for innovative practice, covering application scenarios such as beam steering, dynamic locking, and anti-interference control.It provided students with a path to apply theory into practice and highlighted the practical value of collaborative education between the College of Engineering and Jingyi Academy.
