Clash of Ideas, Hardcore Competition: Postgraduate Series of the “Eaton Cup” Science and Technology Innovation Festival Successfully Held


From May 19 to 22, the postgraduate track events of the 2026 “Eaton Cup” Science and Technology Innovation Festival were held in succession at the Sangpu Mountain Campus.
The series included three major competitions: Postgraduate Robot Innovation Design Competition, Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition, and Smart City Technology and Creative Design Competition.
Focusing on cutting-edge fields such as robotics, electronic design and smart cities, the events provided a platform for students to exchange ideas and showcase achievements, helping engineering students accumulate innovative strength through practice.

Robot Innovation Design Competition

On the afternoon of May 19, the Intelligent Machinery Innovation · Postgraduate Robot Innovation Design Competition was held in Room G303, Sangpu Mountain Campus.
Guided by the national strategy of “Building a Strong Manufacturing Country”, the competition adhered to the orientation of facing the world’s technological frontiers, the main economic battlefield, major national needs and people’s life and health.
It aimed to cultivate high-level scientific and technological innovators urgently needed by the country in the robotics field, support the construction of the robotics industrial ecosystem, and promote the innovative development of robotic technology and industry.
Judges Prof. Gao Changqing and Prof. Fengtao Wang conducted comprehensive reviews based on functional innovation and application feasibility, and offered detailed comments, helping participants better understand the strengths and room for improvement of their works.

Electronic Design Competition

On the afternoon of May 20, the Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition was held in Room D301, Sangpu Mountain Campus.
The competition built a bridge for industry-university integration in electronic information between enterprises and universities, helping to enhance participants’ research and innovation capabilities in electronic design.
During the evaluation, Prof. Jiajun Wu and Prof. Nan Yang comprehensively assessed and commented on the entries from the core perspectives of innovative design and functional algorithms.
Their professional feedback helped students clarify the advantages and shortcomings of their works and pointed out directions for further optimization.

Smart City Technology and Creative Design Competition

On May 22, the Smart City Technology and Creative Design Competition was held in Room G303, Sangpu Mountain Campus.
The contest featured 13 sub-tracks covering cutting-edge areas such as low-altitude economy, urban governance and intelligent transportation, comprehensively testing participants’ innovative thinking and technical application capabilities in smart city construction.
Judges Prof. Cuina Zhang and Prof. Guibin Zhang professionally evaluated the entries from the perspectives of functional application, project design and green development.
They not only highlighted the distinctive strengths of each work but also provided clear paths for improvement, offering valuable guidance to all participating teams.
Centered on robotics, electronic design and smart cities, the three competitions provided postgraduate students with a high-quality platform for academic exchange and achievement display.
They effectively helped students strengthen their professional competence and accumulate practical innovation capabilities.
