On the afternoon of April 23, an enlarged study meeting of the Theoretical Study Center Group of the Party Committee of the College of Engineering, together with a special lecture of the study and education reading class, was held in Lecture Hall 4 of the Sangpu Mountain Campus. Members of the college’s Party Committee Theoretical Study Center Group and Party members of all grassroots Party branches participated in the study. The meeting was presided over by Zhuobin Lu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Engineering.
Bai Youjin, Director of the Journal Editorial Department, was invited to deliver a lecture. Focusing on the overall framework, core shifts and definite signals of the proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan, Bai gave an in-depth interpretation from three dimensions: from model innovation to hard-core innovation, from investment in physical assets to investment in people, and from development first to equal emphasis on development and security.
With regard to the 15th Five-Year Plan, Bai reminded teachers and students of the College of Engineering to seize development opportunities in key technological fields such as integrated circuits, industrial machine tools, low-altitude economy and embodied intelligence, and encouraged everyone to shoulder responsibilities in the era of "hard-core innovation".
In his concluding speech, Lu Zhuobin stressed the need to grasp the political direction through in-depth study, identify the college’s positioning through careful reflection, and demonstrate responsibility through practical actions. All departments, research platforms and Party branches should take the initiative to align with national plans, closely integrate disciplinary directions such as intelligent manufacturing, marine communications and biomedicine with national strategies, and formulate operable and evaluable "construction blueprints" and "responsibility lists".
This lecture provided an in-depth interpretation of the core shifts and key technological fields of the 15th Five-Year Plan, helping teachers and students accurately grasp the direction of national strategies and further strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission in striving for self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology.
