On March 12, the School of Engineering held a mobilization and deployment meeting for the study and education campaign on establishing and practicing correct view of political achievements. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on establishing and practicing correct view of political achievements, earnestly implemented the relevant conference spirits of the CPC Central Committee, Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the University Party Committee on carrying out the campaign, and made comprehensive mobilization and deployment for the school's study and education. Party Secretary Lu Zhuobin delivered a mobilization speech, and Organization Member Zhang Kailiang introduced the arrangements for the campaign. Leading members of the school, Party committee members, Party branch secretaries and Party member representatives attended the meeting.

The meeting pointed out that in the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the CPC Central Committee's deployment to carry out the campaign across the whole Party is an inevitable requirement for fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and answering the fundamental questions of education—"for whom, what and how to cultivate people"; an urgent need for promoting the connotative high-quality development of the school, coping with fierce competition and serving the national strategies of the 15th Five-Year Plan; and an inherent requirement for forging a competent cadre and teaching team and fostering a clean, upright, dedicated and responsible political ecosystem. It is of great significance and far-reaching intention.

The meeting emphasized the need to deeply understand, accurately grasp and fully implement the general requirements of "governing for the public good, benefiting the people, making scientific decisions and working hard中国政府网". It is necessary to profoundly comprehend "why to study" and recognize the extreme importance and urgent necessity of establishing a correct view of political achievements from a political perspective and the overall situation of development; accurately grasp "what to establish" and integrate the core essence of correct view of political achievements into the whole process and all aspects of the school's development; precisely implement "how to do" and use the effectiveness of the study and education campaign to ensure a good start and solid foundation for the school's high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

The meeting required that carrying out the campaign should be regarded as a major political task at present. It is necessary to effectively raise political standing, carefully organize and meticulously plan, and with a high sense of political responsibility and solid work style, promote the implementation of all tasks of the campaign and achieve tangible results. It is necessary to strengthen organizational leadership and consolidate political responsibilities.
