Program Introduction:
Against the backdrop of rapid development in China's medical device industry and the broader healthcare sector, the Biomedical Engineering program at Shantou University was established with the support of the Li Ka Shing Foundation and through close collaboration with the University of Michigan, USA. It is an undergraduate program that aims to reach world‑advanced standards and features bilingual (Chinese‑English) instruction.
Program Objectives:
This program is designed to cultivate high‑caliber talents who are able to integrate engineering knowledge and methods with the life sciences. Students will systematically acquire professional knowledge in biomedical engineering, develop innovative capabilities, independent learning skills, and a global perspective, thereby laying a solid foundation for becoming outstanding leaders in the medical device and healthcare industries.
