To further implement the EIP-CDIO engineering education reform, the College of Engineering, with strong support from its alumni enterprises—Shenzhen O-film Tech Co., Ltd., Shantou Chuanyue Computer Software Co., Ltd., and Nanjing Nanli Shiyou Software Technology Co., Ltd.—has jointly established the following innovation clubs in collaboration with these companies: “Shantou University – Shenzhen O-film Tech Co., Ltd. Innovation Club,” “Shantou University – Shantou Chuanyue Computer Software Co., Ltd. Innovation Club,” and “Shantou University – Nanjing Nanli Shiyou Software Technology Co., Ltd. Innovation Club” (collectively referred to as the “Innovation Clubs”).

The Innovation Clubs operate under a model of “corporate support, student project initiation, and college guidance.” They organize activities such as training workshops (covering topics including market demand, product development, project management, and marketing), corporate culture tours, intern recruitment, research project guidance, weekend club salons, and career development coaching. The objectives are twofold: first, to carry out project research and development centered on corporate product and technology innovation, providing a platform for companies to identify outstanding innovative and practical talent, thereby achieving a win-win outcome for both the university and the enterprises; second, to enable students to fully engage in practical activities such as project management, product design, user needs and experience, product technology development and implementation, and product operation and service throughout the process of product and technology innovation, thereby comprehensively enhancing students’ professional skills and overall quality.
