Dr. Li Xutao is a male professor and a member of the China Democratic League. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and his Doctor of Engineering degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2006.

From 2006 to 2008, he pursued post-doctoral research at the School of Electronics and Information, South China University of Technology. He joined Shantou University in 2008 and was promoted to Professor in 2014.

He is currently a member of the Video Communication Technical Committee of the China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), a peer review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a science and technology consulting expert for the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. He has presided over and completed two General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

He teaches courses including Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Random Signal Analysis, and Random Signal Estimation and Detection.
