About the Speaker:
Professor Wei Jing, male, born in October 1978, holds a Ph.D. and is a Grade-II Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Chongqing University. He is a Distinguished Professor under the "Changjiang Scholar" Program of the Ministry of Education and serves as the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmissions for High-Performance Equipment at Chongqing University. He also holds the following positions: Deputy Director of the National Standardization Technical Committee on Reducers (SAC/TC357), Deputy Director of the Subcommittee on Cycloid and Planetary Standardization of the National Gear Standardization Committee (SAC/TC52/SC1), Chairman of the Expert Committee of the Speed Reducer and Gearbox Branch of the China General Machinery Industry Association, Deputy Director of the 11th Rotor Dynamics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, Member of the Teaching Guidance Subcommittee for Mechanical Fundamentals Courses in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, Member of the Technical Professional Group for the ZSJ Platform of the Army Equipment Department, and Member of the IFToMM China Committee.
Professor Wei has long been engaged in research on high-speed heavy-load transmissions and systems for applications in aviation, new energy equipment, and other fields, with a focus on dynamics and vibration-noise control, transmission mechanics, and digital twin and intelligent technologies. He has led over 40 projects, including key thematic projects under the JKW 16X program, National Key R&D Program projects (and sub-projects), projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, and commissioned development projects from leading industrial enterprises. As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 140 academic papers in internationally renowned journals; has authored 3 monographs; has contributed to the development/revision of 9 national and industry standards; and holds 39 authorized invention patents from Europe, the United States, China, and other countries as the primary inventor. As the primary recipient, he has been awarded 3 first-prize Provincial/Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, 1 second-prize award from the Ministry of Education, and 1 National Patent Excellence Award. His research outcomes have been applied in aviation transmissions for strategic military aircraft models (e.g., XX18C) and mainline models (e.g., XX10), with patented technologies being industrialized and deployed on the XX20 platform. The relevant technologies have also been extended and applied to the development of 1.5 MW and above series large-scale wind turbine transmission systems and high-speed train traction drive systems.
