A Review of the 15th "Young Marxists Project" Party Activist Training Class (Part I)

On April 11, the 15th "Young Marxists Project" Party Activist Training Class of Shantou University officially commenced. 80 Party activists from the College of Engineering (3rd Temporary Youth League Branch) participated in the training simultaneously at the main venue in the Library Lecture Hall of the Sanpoushan Campus and the branch venue in Room 105, Teaching Building E of the East Coast Campus.
At the opening ceremony, Lin Jianqing, Deputy Minister (on temporary assignment) of the Organization Department of the CPC Shantou University Committee, expressed high hopes for the Party activists. He encouraged everyone to firmly establish strong communist ideals and convictions, and to draw closer to the Party organization through practical actions. He emphasized three key points: clarify the training content and enhance ideological awareness; strengthen Party spirit cultivation and improve personal character; and maintain a correct learning attitude to ensure tangible learning outcomes.
During the ceremony, the trainees raised their right fists and solemnly revisited the admission oath of the Communist Youth League, reaffirming their original aspirations for joining the League. They also watched a thematic video on the Party admission process to grasp the standardized procedures for Party member development. Cen Yinyin, a member of the University Student Union, provided a detailed introduction to this session's teaching plan, course schedule, and disciplinary requirements, reinforcing the trainees' awareness of rules and regulations. The ceremony concluded successfully with the singing of the League anthem.
On April 11, Liu Yingbo from the School of Marxism delivered the first thematic lecture, "Studying the Holistic Approach to National Security and Jointly Building a National Security Defense Line in Universities." He elaborated on three aspects: "The Core Essence and Legal Safeguards of the Holistic Approach to National Security," "National Security Risks Facing Universities," and "Specific Suggestions for College Students to Safeguard National Security," helping the trainees gain a profound understanding of the current national security landscape.
On April 15, Li Xiuhong from the College of Engineering delivered the second thematic lecture, "Reading the 2026 National Two Sessions by the Numbers." Combining the "Government Work Report" with typical case study videos, she systematically reviewed the work of 2025, and expounded on the main goals for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period and the expected development tasks for 2026. This lecture pointed out practical pathways for implementing the spirit of the National Two Sessions and devoting oneself to building a strong nation. This study session further strengthened everyone's sense of responsibility and mission to seize the opportunities of the times and write a youthful answer sheet through dedicated struggle.
During the film study session on April 17, the trainees watched the series of reports titled "Mapping Out a New Blueprint." They studied topics including advancing Chinese modernization, economic development, ensuring people's livelihoods, and the Party's leadership. They also listened to experts' interpretations of the proposals for the "15th Five-Year Plan," gaining a deep understanding of the theoretical and practical logic behind the national strategy.
The first phase of the training class successfully covered the Party admission process, national security education, the interpretation of the Two Sessions report, and a series of film studies. It helped the trainees grasp the standardized procedures for Party member development, deepen their understanding of national strategies and security situations, and enhance their political literacy and practical abilities, thus achieving the intended educational goals.
