报告摘要:
The present seminar intends to outline a comprehensive theoretical framework for prestressed concrete structural behavior. The correct estimation of scale effects on maximum reinforcement percentage requires a thorough knowledge of the complex phenomena characterizing the compression crushing failure, leading to define the field in which prestressed concrete structures can develop a safe ductile behaviour. New standard requirements for an effective structural design are formulated.

Federico Accorneroreceived his PhD in Structural Engineering with distinction at Politecnico di Torino-Italyin 2014. Beforethat, hestudied at Politecnico di Torino-Italyand Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris-France.His main research interests are: Fracture Mechanics;GFRP-bar Reinforced and Fiber-reinforced ConcreteStructures;Masonry Arch Bridges;Acoustic Emission Testing. Several of his researches have been published in international peer-reviewed journals, including ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering, ASCE Journal of BridgeEngineering,ACI Structural Journal, Cement and Concrete Composites, Engineering Fracture Mechanics, Magazine of Concrete Research, FIB Structural Concrete, Theoretical and Applied Fracture Mechanics, Construction and Building Materials.。
