On the morning of December 21, 2020, the Department of BME has the honor to invite Professor Zhou Mouwang, professor of Peking University, director of national rehabilitation medicine quality control center, and vice president of China Rehabilitation Medicine Association, to give a lecture on the development status and opportunities of rehabilitation medicine in the seminar room of our department.

Professor Zhou Mou Wang is an academic leader in orthopedic rehabilitation in China. He is good at orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, osteoporosis treatment and pain treatment. On February 19, 2020, Professor Zhou was selected into the first group of members of the national health science experts database.

During the lecture, doctors and nurses from Medical College of Shantou University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Shantou University, Longhu Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Shantou University, as well as teachers and students from science college and Department of medical engineering of Shantou University listened to Professor Zhou Mou Wang's full introduction and Analysis on the history, current situation and development prospect of rehabilitation discipline in China, and talked with Zhou Mou Wang after the report The professor carried out a discussion on the current situation of rehabilitation in remote and poor areas, reached a consensus on the training of grassroots rehabilitation work and the popularization of health concept, and put forward many constructive suggestions.
