Weilin Ye
Associate Professor
Weilin Ye, Ph.D., Associate Professor and master degree supervisor, studies infrared laser spectroscopy and sensing system and its application in medical health field. In 2007, 2009 and 2012, Dr. Ye received the bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from Jilin University, respectively. In 2012, he joined the School of Engineering at Shantou University and was promoted to Associate Professor and Master degree supervisor in 2014. In September 2014, he was selected as the eighth batch of trainer for the "1000, 100 and 10 talents" project of Guangdong higher education institutions. In 2015, he received the "Outstanding Young Teachers" award in Guangdong higher education institutions. Between 2016 and 2018, Dr. Ye pursued postdoctoral studies at Rice University.
As the project leader, Dr. Ye lead 8 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation project, the Guangdong Science Foundation project and the Guangdong Science and Technology project. He has published more than 20 papers as first author/co-author, more than 30 scientific articles and holds 4 patents (5 applied). Dr. Ye. serves as reviewer for several SCI and EI periodicals.
