On April 12th, Prof. Wang Tianfu, Vice Dean of School of Medicine of Shenzhen University, Prof. Chen Xin, Vice Dean of School of Biomedical 

Engineering of Shenzhen University, and Dr. Dong Lei visited our department and had in-depth exchange with our department on how to 

carry out the cooperation and development of biomedical engineering discipline.

At the seminar, three teachers from the Department of Medicine of Shenzhen University and teachers from our department introduced each other first.

Then, the two sides introduced the current teaching situation of their respective undergraduate courses and shared their experience and views on 

curriculum reform. The School of Biomedical Engineering of Shenzhen University fully affirmed and highly praised the teaching methods of our 

department, and also shared valuable experience on the difficulties encountered by teachers from both sides in the actual teaching process.

After the seminar, teachers from our department led three teachers from Shenzhen University to visit the laboratories, including the Joint 

Laboratory of Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation Technology, the Laboratory of Biomedical Materials and the Laboratory of Medical 

Micro-nano System.


This academic exchange provides an opportunity for faculty representatives from the School of Biomedical Engineering of Shenzhen 

University and the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Shantou University to understand each other's teaching environment and 

learn from each other, as well as strengthen the further cooperation in teaching and research between the two sides.
