To respond to the provincial government’s call for advancing the “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages Project”, care for the growth of rural teenagers, empower rural education with science and technology, and nurture children with culture, the School of Engineering and Jingyi Academy, together with the Assistance Team of Guangwu Holding Group stationed in Huizhai Town, will carry out the summer social practice activity “Science Lights Up South Guangdong · Children Paint the Overseas Hometown”. The activity integrates two lines: “popular science for intellectual enlightenment” and “cultural nourishment for the soul”. Through diverse forms including science experiments, intangible cultural heritage experiences and outdoor development, it organically combines engineering strengths with overseas hometown culture. It guides rural teenagers to broaden their horizons and develop scientific thinking, fosters their local attachment and cultural confidence in practice, and realizes the coordinated development of technology-empowered rural education and cultural inheritance.
