Dr. Ramo received her PhD in Bioengineering from Colorado State University in 2018 where her doctoral research focused on the mechanical properties of neural and connective tissues.

Dr. Ramo has assisted with or taught undergraduate courses in computer aided design, capstone student design, introductory biomedical engineering, orthopedic tissue mechanics, and medical product evaluation.

Dr. Ramo has published 12 academic journal articles related to technical research and 3 peer-reviewed conference papers related to engineering education. She has served as a reviewer for the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and is a member of ASEE, the Biomedical Engineering Society, and the American Society for Mechanical Engineers.
